HAND-BRAKE ADJUSTMENT.

Remove the front floor-board. Adjust the nut A sufficiently to bring the brake hard on when the lever is half-way along its ratchet quadrant B.

DAMPER LUBRICATION

Turn the crankshaft until the plug A in the periphery of the damper is in a convenient position near the top. Unscrew the plug with a box-spanner. Insert a charge of oil by means of the gun. Replace the plug and screw up tightly.

FAN BELT ADJUSTMENT

Slack off the nut on the grip bolt A securing the eccentric adjustment. Use a tommy-bar passed through the hole m the eccentric adjustment spindle in order to raise the fan spindle to a higher position and thus to tighten the belt. Secure in the new position by means of the grip bolt.
